August Favs
Each month I will share my favorite things ranging from skincare, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, food, tech, and more. Here’s the August Favs!
You can also find some of these products mentioned in my August favorites folder on my LTK!
My favorite lymphatic drainage type tool. This thing is ALWAYS cold and even extra ICE cold if put in the refrigerator. I love this because sometimes I forget to put it in the fridge.. because who would’ve thought we’d be putting skincare products where we store our food? But seriously, this thing is amazing. It’s big enough that you can use it on your whole body for a sculpting effect and works great on its own or with oil. Worth the $$.
I have two favorite body creams/butters. This first one I got from my spray tan lady where I live and the brand is Sunless Body. It smells like vanilla cake batter but with a beachy twist. I love this because the ingredients are SO clean and it gives such a stunning glow. It doesn’t have any mineral oils or weird ingredients so it doesn’t disrupt a spray tan- if anything it makes it last longer (which is a plus for me because I pretty much never don’t a spray tan shhh). We love the sun, but we protect the skin at all costs, so this means getting our fake tan on sometimes. No shame!
This cream is from the same brand as the popular Bum Bum cream (I also like that one but this one changed everything for me). It smells like tropical vanilla beachy goodness. My favorite part about it is that it literally has a shimmer in it and if you know me you know I love a good glow. I’m always applying shimmery body oil after I put on body lotion but with this, I don’t need to and it doesn’t have that oily feel a body oil gives which is nice and great for the warm weather.
This is my go-to when I want that diverse look to go from workout, to business chic, to comfy and cute. I love that I can wear this while doing any workout, with a blazer to dress it up, or with an oversized sweatshirt or sweater. I can pair it with a cute black sandal or a chunky white sock with a white sneaker. I also have the legging version of the divinity romper but I love the shorts for the warm months and workouts.
A cute water bottle will make you drink more water. Just stating the facts. I know some people have their opinions about this but I love my pink Stanley and my green one. I think they literally complete my outfit. Emotional support water bottles are real. I really do love my Stanley though because my water does stay cold! For hours!
I wanted this lip balm for the longest time and my Sephora was sold out of it for the LONGEST time. Finally, I went to my Sephora a couple of weeks ago and there she was in all her glory. I grabbed her so fast and she’s the only lip balm I’ve used since. I love it. The flavor is not an overpowering vanilla and I feel like it lasts so long. The way I can tell if a lip balm really works is if my lips are moisturized when I wake up in the morning… I’m here to stay. She passed the test.
I bought these flip flops a couple of months ago after being influenced by the fashion girlies I follow on Instagram wearing them. I have the regular version of these with the rounded toe but I feel like the square toed just elevates them so much and gives them such a “Row” feel. I wear these to go to yoga and with jeans!
Okay- when I saw this hair clip I was like “Oh this is cute, I’ll probably wear it sometimes” and that’s when my love story with this hair clip began. It has two of my favorite things- pink and rhinestones. The clip has practically not left my head since I bought it. It’s adorable and I obviously wore it when I saw the Barbie movie. Duh. But I really do love the quality of this hair clip and it was worth its cost. I have an Emi Jay hair clip and I definitely think that was the look they were going for with this Barbie one, but I gotta say.. I think I like this one and it’s quality a lot more. It’s also a bit bigger and holds my hair better than the Emi Jay one. My hair NEVER fails out of this Kitsch one. It stays in place all day long. It even lasts me through a pilates class. Also this Kitsh one is A LOT less money than the Emi Jay clips.
This Amika leave-in is a great one. I love the smell. It’s just so fresh and light. (If you want hair care that smells good, anything from Amika is Amazing) I dealt with pretty bad fall out for a while so making sure I’m using GOOD quality hair products is really important to me and Amika has never done me dirty.
I’m not gonna lie, I switch up my body washes a lot from Dial, to Molton Brown, to Glossier but this one I found recently has been my most favorite and I actually look forward to using it. First the feeling of it is amazing and the ingredients are as well. Sometimes, I find that the cleaner the product, the less foamy it gets, but this one FOAMS. And the #1 thing for me is obviously.. the smell! Imagine what a magical relaxing, sensual, beachy, beautiful vacation in St. Barts would smell like… that’s this body wash. I need everything from this collection.
I’ve tried several dry brushes in my journey of finding the perfect dry brush and I gotta say, Gwyneth, you definitely nailed it with this one. The size, the feel, the handle. Everything about it is perfect. It’s not too rough, it’s not too soft. The size is perfect and I love that it's not too heavy for travel. The handle makes it easy to get hard to reach places like the back. Also love the Goop branding… not gonna lie! And I think I have a special connection to this dry brush because it also doubles as one of my souveniors from when I went to Goop’s flagship store on Bond Street in NYC… along with my vagina candle. Definitely was not on my on my bucket list or anything.
So there you have it, those are my August favorites! Tag these products and Spina Wellness Club if you try any of these! I want to see you glow!
