The Beauty of Alone

Being alone can be hard but it can also be the most healing thing you can do for yourself. Letting things come up and letting yourself feel every emotion and not pushing anything away allows you work through things and maybe even get to know yourself a bit better. After doing this for a while, you can begin to recognize patterns in your thoughts and understand that most of those thoughts are just you overthinking, over analyzing, and being hard on yourself. Have compassion for yourself. You don’t need to be in a constant state of giving to others to feel fulfilled. You need to take a moments with yourself. The universe whispers until it screams. Listen to those whispers and decide if they are worth giving your energy to or not. In your time alone, challenge yourself to recognize where you could’ve been a better version of yourself, without any judgement. Recognize that we are all going through this human experience together. Stay true to yourself. Protect yourself from the thoughts, things, and people that deplete you. Trust yourself enough that you know what is best for you and only you know the thoughts, things, and people who light you up. The way you show up for yourself is the way you show up in the world. If being alone makes you laugh, cry, smile, dance, frustrated- let it be. Let it all come up, and let it go. Accept your feelings and try to understand them. Even the good ones. They all help you to get to know yourself just a little bit better.
